A Career Built the Hard Way
Whether it’s an interior paint update, a fresh coat on the exterior, or cabinet refinishing that saves you thousands, I handle every project myself. No subcontractors. No handoffs. Just one experienced painter who takes your home as seriously as my own.
I did not plan on becoming a painter. A friend had an opening in the union and I jumped at it. I was young, I needed work, and I figured I would give it a shot. What I did not expect was that I would still be doing it 20 years later and that it would become something I take real pride in.
The early years taught me a lot. I worked on big crews, small crews, all kinds of jobs. I learned how to prep a surface properly, how to cut a clean line, how to match texture, how to treat someone’s home with the care it deserves. I also learned what happens when those things get skipped. Peeling paint. Sloppy lines. Callbacks. Unhappy homeowners. That was never going to be how I worked.
So about 15 years ago I started taking on jobs myself. Just me, my tools and a commitment to doing it right. No crew to manage, no subcontractors to chase, no quality control issues. When I show up to your home, you are getting two decades of experience walking through your door, not someone I hired last week.
I have painted over 100 homes across Placer and Nevada Counties. Kitchen cabinets in Auburn. Exteriors in Grass Valley. Interiors in Rocklin. Decks and fences all through the foothills. Every single job gets the same attention. I do not have a B team. I am the team.
That is what Mike Ross Painting is. One painter who shows up, does the work right and does not leave until you are happy with it.
